In certain wolves, the attunement to the spirits is stronger than in others. This attunement allows these wolves to use magic at a far greater proficiency than non-magic wielders. As such, they are able to call upon this power in day-to-day life, with the exception of two elements; Darkness and Light. Instead, these two elements must be taught by a Master user of the magic type, or learned from the parent spirit.
While the Void is the representation of utter entropy, he does not just had off his knowledge to anyone, they must catch his attention and prove that they are capable of wielding the powers he can bestow. The dangers of learning the Darker magics is that the mind can be corroded and lost due the learning of things that mortal wolves were never meant to know; it should also be noted that if one attempts to use a Dark ability that they do not fully comprehend, they run the risk of being overtaken and corrupted by the Void.
Light is even more neutral towards the world and the happenings of beasts than Earth himself. It is a very rare occurrence that she will teach her knowledge to someone, regardless of how dire the situation might be. She does not trust wolves to be strong enough to handle her powers, nor does she hardly ever want to meddle in the events of the world. The dangers of learning Light magics is that if the user learns too much too quick or tries to use something too advanced for their understanding, they will burn up from the inside out.
Water: Harnessing the raw power of water. Strength related to the lunar cycle, being strongest at a full moon and weakest at a new moon.
Earth: Harnessing the raw power of plants and earth.
Fire: Harnessing the raw power of heat and fire. Strength related to the Solar day-night cycle, being strongest during the day, and weakest during the night.
Wind: Harnessing the raw power of air and the winds.
Dark: One of the strongest of the elements. Magics of this element deal in everything from the literal use of creating shadows, to necromancy and death magic, to psychic abilities. Only masters of the element may even attempt to practice necromancy, or doing something like practicing psychic abilities. The more the user practices this magic, the more twisted and corrupt their mind will become and the more decayed their body will be until finally they go mad and fall apart, dying. The only exception to this are those born of the Void himself.
Light: The other strongest element. Magics of this element deal with everything from creation, to purging, to resurrection from the dead. Only masters of the element may even attempt resurrecting one of the deceased, or doing something such as creating sentient life. The more and more a character uses this magic, the more likely they are to be filled with Light until they explode.

It should be noted that Dark and Light are restricted elements/magics. To learn/use these, you must have a staff approved IC reason, as these two elements are typically plot-event related.
