Crystallynx’s Birth
Light saw what the Void had done, and she was displeased with her father, so she set about to create a new being to protect the future beasts that would be their chosen. From her, she took her blinding rays and confined them to one central form, she could not take any from the other spirits, for they were too easy to corrupt. She then placed it on the ground, and rolled it in the earth to hold her together. The ground was not dirt, nor mud, but it was a hard shiny rock, and from there the beast woke up and did not like her confined form that she was given. She asked her mother why she was like this, and Light told her that if the likes of beast were to ever lay eyes upon her true form, they would be blinded, and their eyes burnt out of their skulls. She understood this, and named herself CrystalLynx after the stone that she was covered and her first kill. Light then explained to her that she was not her child, but a part of her, and as such she was Light and CrystalLynx was Light. For they were one, but they were separate.
Crystallynx the Rogue
When Light had left her, she went forth into the forest to await the arrival of the chosen beasts that Earth was making. When they came, she hid from them, she did not know why at the time, but she later told herself it was because they would fear her rocky body and radiant glow caused by her mother’s rays. After nearly being discovered by a curious pup, she ran away. Fearful of what the rest of the packs would do when they heard tale of a fierce rock monster that shone like the sun and moon.
As she ran, she encountered a great grizzly bear that wandered the plains and not the forest, this intrigued her. So she went close to follow, but the bear did not like this strange being of stone that came to him, and so he went to fight back, for bears are the direct chosen of Fire, and they share his wrath. CrystalLynx leaped out of the way of his massive claws, and bit him in the throat, causing him to bleed out, and die. This was the first time that she had seen death, and it scared her, for she did not know that things could die. She wept for the bear, and she wished to soothe it’s spirit as it passed, so she asked the Void to allow bears into the afterlife. Feeling her sorrow in a rare moment of sympathy, he allowed it, and so wolves and bears live in the Void together after they die.
Thousands of winters had passed, and she had killed many more beasts that tried to end her due to her frightening appearance, and then she encountered a Hellhound that had been sent by Blood Red to catch Redfang. The hound was different from all that she had seen before, for he was large, larger than the wolves with wings, and his fur was not fur, but fire made of shadow. She could see his bones, but they were not bones, as they were made out of the Void itself. The Hellhound did not know what it was that he saw, but he felt Light, and so his true master, the Void, told him to attack, and bring her back, for he wanted Light everstill. The battle was fierce, and CrystalLynx was injured, her stone cracked, brilliant rays of Light escaped from her cracks, and the beast came forth to give the final blow when a stranger appeared, a lone wolf that had been on Earth for far too long, and with his bite the beast fell dead, as it, too, was a wolf, and the venom of a Vargano kills all but the spirits.
In time, she had learned that his name was ShadeHeart, and they became good friends. For a while, she did not like him, as he was born of the corruption of the spirits from the Void, but she grew to accept that as being a part of who he was, and so she found that she was able to truly trust him. After many moons of travel, they had found that they loved each other, and they wished to be together for all time. One morning, she awoke to find that ShadeHeart was speaking to another wolf, and he explained to her that he was his blood-brother, for they were made by the same Vargano, and that his name was Seminar. Seminar was distraught, as his pack needed aid, and he knew of no one to come to for help other than ShadeHeart, and so ShadeHeart left to help his blood brother, explaining to CrystalLynx that he would one day come back to be with her.
Lightningvenom’s Birth
After many years of travel, CystalLynx had found herself traveling in the land that was controlled by the DuskPacks, and she had found that she did not trust them, for they hunted at night when the Void was closest to them. But she soon met the leader of the pack, SmokeStorm. She was so called for when she hunted, she would kick up dust to limit her prey’s eyesight to allow for easier hunting. CrystalLynx was offered a place in the pack, and after a few hunts she had proven her worth and she was given the position of beta. She was happy, but she longed for love to return to her.
All things have their end, and ShadowHeart had met his fighting great beasts for his blood-brother, but he could not stand to be away from CrystalLynx, so he leaped past Blood Red and escaped the Void, coming back to Earth in a mostly physical form. There, he found CrystalLynx, and she wept, for she knew what it meant that he was now silver. Together, they came and the night was too short, for he had planned to return to the Void once he had managed to say a proper farewell to CrystalLynx. As he left, CrystalLynx felt something fall off of her body, and from that rock came limbs, and fur, and bone. For she had given birth to her daughter, and she named her LightningVenom after her mother and ShadowHeart’s bite that saved her life many moons ago.
Lightningvenom's Life
As she was growing, her mother went mad with grief at the loss of ShadowHeart, for she knew that as a part of Light, she could never be with him in the Void. So she left the pack, and she was never seen again. As such, she grew up without a mother, and that made her angry. But in time, SmokeStorm adopted her in an effort to cull the anger that came forth from her. She was taught by SmokeStorm in an effort to make her a candidate to be the new Alpha of the pack, but there were others that were training as well.
One day, in a fit of rage, she bit her best friend. At first, the bite was not serious, but in a few days time, her friend had gone mad, for LightningVenom so had her father’s gift for which she named after, and the pup died. This caused the pack to be afraid of her, for none of them had heard of a Vargano, so they did not know what she was. As such, they banished her, and bit her in the ways that marked her a traitor, but as they did so, their teeth and claws broke as her flesh was as hard as stone.
She was chased out, but they did not dare touch the unbreakable monster with the bite from the Void, so she was forced to leave and make her new home elsewhere. After a long time, she found a new pack with which she would call her home, and that pack was known as the MountainPack, for they controlled and hunted on a mountain. The leader of the pack, Seminar, immediately recognized her as ShadowHeart’s daughter, and so gave her a place in the pack. He had done so for he had felt sorrow after killing her father, and he wished to atone for what he had done by raising her.
She was still young at this point, but there she met a beautiful young female named PheonixRage. She was named this way for whenever she was angry, her fur would burst into a brilliant flame, like the bird after which she was named- such birds existed in that time, as there were still magical beings in the world. LightningVenom did not like PheonixRage, for despite their shared anger they were opposites in too many ways to mention, and so they became rivals, always competing with the other to see who would be the better of the two. PheonixRage would also tear at the flesh of LightningVenom’s sister, and so LightningVenom would protect her sister, Seminar’s pup, from her. When the fights were over, she would fill her wounds with Earth, as to make them whole again. For this reason, they stopped being rivals and became mortal enemies. For during their first true fight, PheonixRage slew her in battle, and she died.
After Blood Red brought LightningVenom back to life, she had found that PheonixRage had not recieved any form of punishment from Seminar. For this, she was angry, and she decided to fight PheonixRage, to punish her herself. During the fight, she nearly killed PheonixRage, and Seminar declared that enough was enough, and that she had been punished enough, so she stopped, obeying the commands of her alpha. Seminar was old, and weary, and so he told her the truth about his part in her father’s death. For this, she cursed him, and she left his side as he died out of spite. LightningVenom declined to become the new alpha, and so DaisyMoon rose to power during this time, she was so called for wherever she walked daisies would grow out of the ground.
During this time, another pack, ArcticPack, joined with MountainPack. They then renamed themselves EclipsePack, they were called such because they were formed on the night of an eclipse. During her stay in the newly formed EclipsePack, LightningVenom fell in love with a wolf named NoHeart, he was called such for his heart had been ripped out of his chest by a rival. He still lived because a rock had been placed in his chest, and that served as a heart until a suitable one could be molded for him. After a while, she had two pups with him, BlackIce and ThistleShadow. BlackIce was so named for her chest was as black as the Void, and she was as cold as ice, whereas her brother was so named for when he born it looked as though he was covered in thistles and his shadow was always too strong. Soon after, Seminar died, and so LightningVenom became the Countess of Vargano. During this time, ThisleShadow overheard a plot by PheonixRage to kill DaisyMoon, and takeover as Alpha, so he told his mother, and she decided to protect DaisyMoon from PheonixRage’s greed and lust for power.
In time, PheonixRage made her move against DaisyMoon, and LightningVenom stepped forth to stop her. The battle was great, and the mountain that it took place on fell down due to the power of their bites and claws. As the final cliff of the mountain was falling, LightningVenom pushed the traitor over the edge, sending her to her doom. But PheonixRage could not bear to die, for if she died she would take the accursed one with her, and so she pulled her down with her. The fall killed them both, and PheonixRage was too evil, and too power hungry to stay dead. She fought Blood Red, and was weakened. But the ploy worked, and PheonixRage managed to escape, and came back as a Silverblood. But she was not a true Silverblood, for her mother had taken a Hellhound, and tore her in two. She took the flames and brought back PheonixRage’s true body with it, allowing her to forever live as she once did, but forever aflame, forever betraying her true intentions.
The Story of Skadi Thrush
In a time before all of the new lands were found, all the wolves of the land lived in the Old Lands, which are far from here and across the seas. In this time, there was a wolf named Skadi Thrush, she was so named for her fur was feathery, and colored like a wood thrush’s feathers. She was so called Skadi for that was her rank in her pack, which one could refer to as being an Alpha. Her pack was Eclipse Pack, and it is from this pack that all wolves are descended from today.
Much of her past is shadowed in mystery, as she had gone missing for many winters, though it is known that she is the lost child of Eaglemoon, the first Eagle Warrior. But what is known is as such; as a young pup, she was taken by The Corruption as to be his new handpicked vessel. She was to be raised and taught in the darkest of magic, that which is forbidden by many pack elders today, and so she was to be his. The reason that this magic is not taught is generally regarded that they shall break the mind of whomever knows them, for they contain knowledge that wolf minds were not meant to know. When she was young, the Corruption entered her mind but not her body, and inside of her he twisted her and broke her, made her into a puppet that could have no will of its own, the perfect apprentice for his own usage.
In time, Water found out about The Corruption, and wanted to help, for she could not bear to see so much destruction and devastation come to Life. From there, she reached out into the minds of all those that were corrupted, but she could not feel them, for they were not alive, they were all dead, and yet they still moved. But within them, she felt that she was growing Cold, and so she withdrew, for that meant that the Void had something to do with this treachery and defilement of Life. So she left as she felt warmth, and so she went and she found a young pup that was alive, and so she mended her mind and left her to escape from the Corruption’s enslavement.
She awoke, and she knew who she was, and she was scared. So, Thrush traveled the lands, and in these travels she battled with the Void, and in one of these battles, she found the Corruption. And so they met, at the peak of Mt. Mephisto. There, she stood her ground and battled her former master, and so she battled and her wings were torn from her body by him. He was weak, however, as his body was old, and he needed to jump to a new one soon. As this happened, he fell and coughed, and Skadi Thrush found strength within her, for Water was watching and so gave her this strength and she knocked him down, into the lava below where he burned away.
After this battle, she went on her way, weak and weary from losing much blood. She walked forth and found herself at a pool of clear Water, for it was Water in her purest form. Water had led her to this spot, Water looked at the wolf that she had helped for so long, and so healed her. Water had healed for her for she was Water’s chosen to defeat The Corruption. Despite her best efforts, the Void had corrupted her, and she could not regrow her wings, and this disappointed Water, for she was hoping to give her every advantage. For this, she was tainted with the Void and blessed by Water, allowing her to create Cold wherever she went.
The reason that Skadi Thrush was traveling was thus, the Old Lands were dying, being destroyed by the Corruption as it corrupted all life. Her pack was being hunted by Forestra, a pack of the forest that was corrupted but was not part of The Corruption. They had been separately defiled by the Void, and they would feast off of the flesh of the dead and that of the still living. They were crazed for their unholy hunger, and it so drove them to madness, it was for this very madness that they so relentlessly hunted Skadi Thrush’s pack.
She did battle with Forestra, and they came at her teeth bared and stomachs roaring for the flesh that they so desired, and she fought them all off until her pack had time to escape. The battle was long and hard, as it took a halfmoon to complete. During this time she did not eat sleep or drink, she only fought. After her pack was long gone, she destroyed them, hunting them all down and killing every last one of these crazed ghouls. It was then that she realized that she no longer required drink, food, or sleep, as that was a part of the blessing gifted to her by Water.
It was so that she ran, gifted with her blessing she was able to overtake her pack in two days time.
As Skadi Thrush’s pack went, they found a narrow land bridge that flowed between the New Lands and the Old Lands, as they went, they were set upon by the Corruption, for they had been found. The Corruption had not truly died at Mt. Mephisto, and his spirit left to find a new wolf to corrupt. This had taken time to occur, and in this time Skadi Thrush had grown to become much stronger in her ways of attacking.
As the Corruption and his Corrupted came to attack, Skadi Thrush came forth, and blocked their way. With her powers of Cold, she created large waves that would come forth and turn to ice as it came to crush them, and in her magnificent power she destroyed the land bridge and crushed the mad wolves. The pack waited for her, but she did not return, and so they left, stricken by grief that their greatest leader had vanished.
